A small business has some advantages over larger structures.  A charismatic leader can make all employees feel important and empowered to make decisions.  Many small businesses fail to take the next step from starting out to adding employees.  Real growth can only occur when a business has employees who are adding value.  Other tips include having generous benefits and flexibility with work schedules and tasks.  The incremental cost for benefits for a small business are not as great as a 5000 employer company might have.  Profitable small businesses should try to take care of their employees and they will create tremendous loyalty from them.
